Yellow or orangey brown heartwood with red shades that darken when exposed to light. Well demarcated sapwood; coarse texture.

Origin: Cameroon, Congo and Gabon

Possible end-uses: Sleepers, carpentry, flooring, hydraulic works

Marketing: Logs, sawnwood, joists, decking

Physical and mechanical properties: Hard, resistant and naturally durable wood
